Platelet  Rich  Plasma

PRP treatment is a revolutionary skincare solution that uses the body’s healing powers to stimulate tissue growth and give your skin a rejuvenated and healthy appearance.

PRP can improve the look and feel of your skin and stimulate the production of new collagen to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, improve scars, remove blemishes, and restore the healthy glow of your skin.

About Platelet Rich Plasma

Treatment works by drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood and then separating the plasma from the rest of the blood using a centrifuge to create the platelet-rich plasma. The plasma is then injected in the areas that require treatment where the platelets release their growth factors.

Areas that can be treated with PRP include the forehead, around the eyes, cheeks, nasolabial lines, marionette lines, jawline and neck.

WHAT DOES PRP TREATMENT INVOLVE?

During the consultation, the doctor will assess your skin and discuss your concerns and expectations about the treatment and make sure that you do not have any medical conditions that affect the treatment, such as clotting disorders. Once you and your doctor decide that this treatment is suitable for you, a numbing cream is applied to the areas that require treatment to ensure maximum comfort. After that, a small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood, creating the platelet-rich plasma.

The doctor injects the PRP in the treatment area using a very fine needle, and multiple injections may be needed to achieve the desired improvement.

You may notice some bruising, swelling and redness right after the treatment, but this is expected in will resolve within few days, and you can resume your usual activities the next day.

HOW DOES PRP WORK?

The production of collagen decreases over time, which results in volume loss, lines and wrinkles. When PRP is injected into the skin, they release growth factors that promote healing and stimulate collagen production, which is the foundation of a youthful appearance. By stimulating collagen production, PRP helps to improve skin tone and texture and reduce scarring, which results in a glowing and healthy look.

HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT OF PRP LAST?

The results of PRP appear gradually as collagen production increases and can last for several months. For optimum results, you need a course of 3 treatments at 4 to 6 weeks intervals so you can maintain the results for up to 18 months.
